The Children’s Advisors of the Lviv City Council: the opinions and ideas of children about our city
Recently our team had discussion with the Children’s Advisors of the Lviv City Council. We talked about education, leisure, sports, safety Lviv in order to make our city comfortable and friendly to children.
For writing “Child Friendly Lviv” strategy, we asked our the youngest age category of residents to talk their vision of the city development.
The conversation lasted in a friendly atmosphere: first, they talked about the needs and problems in the city, and then the children had a creative task, in particular, to draw a public space of their dreams and distribute funds of Lviv city budget. The children showed a great interest in the problems of the city, they reasoned, lively discussed and identified the priorities of a friendly city: it should be safe and environmentally friendly, – said Tetyana Pryhodko, sociologist of the City Institute
